Resumo. The present article aims to discuss, in the light of Folkmídia, the research line of Folkcommunication, Theory proposed by Luiz Beltrão, the existence of Videogames that approach the folkloric theme. The video game "Never Alone", produced by the US company Upper Games, was analyzed. The analysis was made through the empirical methodology in which the video game was played and its phases analyzed according to their gameplay, content and visual and / or textual information. It is also highlighted the existence of a videogame culture today. Video game acceptance as a mass media, and one of the world's pillars of the entertainment industry, enables a new field of research being explored by different researchers such as Lúcia Santaella and James Paul Gee, among others. This article shows that the videogame industry has begun to glimpse new themes and publics, among which the search for themes from popular culture arenas stands out, as is the case of the videogame analyzed, which is based on the folklore of the Alaskan people.
