Resumo. Nowadays, the politically correct participation of all faces the balkanization or fragmentation of societies into small groups of desires that defend their own rights, as well as increasing hostility against immigration and omulticulturalism. So, diversity looks so diverse. In this interview, sociologist Renato Ortiz of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) explains why diversity is an oxymoron, the theme of his latest book "Universalismo e Diversidade".
