Resumo.
The festival of the Divino refers to a long tradition of the intersection between popular culture and the religious sphere still present in several Brazilian cities. Conservation and cultural transformation processes are updated at the local level and expressed in
particularity that the festivity will assume in each situation, community or season. The 'party' event can be understood as a communicational practice - aggregating brands, expressions, gestures - involved in the religious, the popular and the urban. The following photo shoot records scenes from the Festa do Divino that took place on May 15, 2016, in Ponta Grossa (PR). The images were produced by three students from the Journalism course at the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG) - Saori Honorato, Angelo Rocha and André da Luz -, as part of the Lente Quente extension project, responsible for developing coverage of cultural events and contributing , thus, for the memory of the cultural manifestations of the city through an online photographic collection (available at www.flickr.com) that already exceeds the mark of the two thousand cataloged photographs.
