Construction of the journalistic discourses about cultural heritage: an analysis of the case of the Civic Square of Goiânia - (2017)

Resumo. This article aims to analyze the construction of the discourse presented by the newspaper O Popular, during 2015, in the published stories about the Civic Square of Goiânia (GO) and the works of urban requalification in the place. Based on an integrated approach, the proposal is to understand if and how the press promotes discussions about cultural heritage, taking as a case study a public space which is protected as cultural heritage at federal level by Iphan and is also understood as a space of folkcommunication, as this is the main urban and symbolic landmark of the capital of Goiás
