Resumo.
Review of the book Folkcomunicación en América Latina: dialogues between Chile and Brazil, organized by Cristian Yáñez Aguilar, Guilherme Moreira Fernandes, Rodrigo Browne Sartori, Victor Hugo Valenzuela, Carlos Del Valle Rojas and José Marques de Melo. It was published in 2016 by the publisher of Universidad de La Frontera (Chile) and launched during the III International Folkcommunication Meeting at Escuela de Graduados, Facultad de Filosofia y Humanidades (Universidad Austral de Chile). Altogether, the work consists of 23 texts by 32 authors, being divided into three distinct sections: 1) Classic texts on Folkcomunicación, 2) Contemporary texts on folkcomunicación in Brazil and 3) Aproximaciones a la folkcomunicación from Chile; whose theoretical connection links authors of an older generation, dated between the 1950s to
1980, to more recent ones, from 2000 to the present, and with what is most essential in Chile of studies in Folkcommunication.
