Resumo. Interview with the doctor in Communication Sciences by the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo, Post-Doctor in Multimedia by the IA / UNICAMP and professor at the Faculty of Technology (FATEC-SP), Itaquaquecetuba, and the University of Sorocaba ( UNISO), Wilton Garcia. The interview reveals why associating communications with the arts is an arduous task for researchers, as well as discussing complex and heterogeneous themes, such as human rights, cultural diversity, consumption, advertising and journalism.
